Multifunctional Robotic Walker
For many disabled people standing, bending or walking is limited to some degree and may be difficult to achieve, with negative impacts on the quality of life.
Passive walking aids are limited to even, good quality terrain. An active robotic walker might extend the usage of the walking aids to difficult terrain and improve mobility.
One of the F'SATI@TUTproject in the field of the assistance to the handicapped is the development of adaptive user interface systems for walking aid applications. By using the users own movement capability it will promote independency, improve mobility and enhance mobility rehabilitation.
